Following his release on police bail, Namewee is now hunting for jobs, as the singer revealed that all his gigs, initially scheduled until the end of the year, have been cancelled.
Namewee, who was placed under remand to assist in the investigation into the death of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh in Kuala Lumpur, was released on 13 November after the police couldn’t find evidence linking him to the murder

Iris’ friend responds to Namewee’s job-hunting post
With Iris’s funeral completed, her friend, Vivian, responded to Namewee’s job-hunting post on Facebook by pointing out that Iris is no longer among the living.
“You lost your job, but she lost her life.”
In her brief Instagram Story, Vivian also claimed that Namewee still has the chance to “seek sympathy” online, while her deceased friend, Iris, can no longer do anything.
Earlier, Vivian also highlighted that while he believed Namewee wouldn’t have committed murder and ruin his success and fame that he built over the years, she believes that the Malaysian singer is still at fault. Vivian pointed out that Namewee and Iris should’ve looked after each other.

“Let’s go live together!”
In the meantime, Singaporean comedian and actor Wang Lei commented on Namewee’s post and offered him a gig that could earn him some money. Wang Lei invited Namewee to join him on Facebook Live, but Namewee rejected.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. The police might get their attention on your live videos.”

Wang Lei recently slammed Malaysian media for excessively reporting the news about Namewee. He also called them “beggars” for standing under the scorching sun outside the police station just to get a piece of the news.
Namewee added that all his sponsors had disappeared following his viral case, and he is seeking new sponsors.
