With the sudden surge in demand for bubble tea here in Malaysia, it’s only natural for stores catering to this demand to pop up everywhere. However, with so many people consuming this addictive beverage, there’s also a lot of single-use plastic waste accumulating as a result.

So, in an effort to save the environment and reduce the amount of plastic waste created by this bubble tea craze, The Alley has announced that customers can bring in their own reusable cups (either 500ml or 700ml) when ordering a drink starting 1st July.

To encourage customers to get on the green bandwagon, the popular bubble tea franchise is selling their very own reusable tumblers (and they look super Insta-worthy to boot!).

In a reply to a comment from a Facebook user, The Alley Malaysia’s Facebook account said that the tumbler is priced at RM89.90. Customers who buy this reusable cup can also redeem one free milk tea!

On top of that, you can also get RM1 off your drink whenever you use this gold tumbler at any The Alley outlet.

What do you guys think? Are you tempted to buy one of The Alley’s gold tumblers? Let us know in the comments section below!
