Residents of Kuantan and those looking for a family fun time are in for a special treat, as the world’s first hybrid zoo is here! But first, you must be wondering, what is a hybrid zoo?
Well, visitors of the Taman Teruntum Mini Zoo in Kuantan, Pahang, will not only be able to see real animals but also extinct, prehistoric animals in animatronic-form, thanks to their collaboration with the Dinosaur Encounter.
CHAM AIS took to their Facebook page to showcase a little of what visitors can expect from this brand-spanking new attraction.
They wrote, “It’s the Dinosaur Encounter, located at Teruntum Mini Zoo in Kuantan, Pahang. This zoo has the concept of combining real, living animals and prehistoric animatronic animals, such as dinosaurs.”
They added that Dinosaur Encounter’s Tyrannosaurus-Rex is allegedly the largest in Asia!
But, that’s not all they have!
“Of the entire area (of the zoo), about 30% will be retained for live animal exhibitions and the rest will be developed through edu-tourism projects which will also house themed cafes, dinosaur laboratories and so on,” shared Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) Secretary, Datuk Hamiza Hamzah.
On top of that, this new attraction also has a Hobbit House!
The new and improved Teruntum Mini Zoo, along with the Dinosaur Encounter, is now open:
Location: Jalan Padang Golf 25050 Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia
Time: 9am to 6pm
Tickets: RM25 for adults, RM22 for kids
