Woman Goes into Emergency Labour & Gives Birth to Baby Girl in 1 Utama on Mall’s 30th Anniversary

A woman safely gave birth to a baby girl named Amira at a shopping mall in Bandar Utama, Selangor.

In a statement, 1 Utama shared that the baby’s arrival happened to fall on the mall’s 30th anniversary.

“We welcomed the birth of a baby in 1 Utama!”

1 Utama confirmed that they received an emergency call about a woman going into labour, which led their customer service and security teams to quickly step in and help by setting up privacy screens.

“Our everyday heroes welcomed a precious new life at 1 Utama. Our Customer Service and Security teams immediately assisted the mother-to-be, setting up privacy screens and making sure she delivered safely with medical support,” they wrote.

They added that both mother and baby are now safe and doing well at the hospital.

“A truly unforgettable moment on our 30th Anniversary, and a beautiful reminder that life is full of wonderful surprises.”
