When Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington suddenly took his life on July 20, it undoubtedly left a huge mark on the world. Practically everyone mourned for his death.
The iconic singer and songwriter who fought against depression unfortunately lost the battle with his inner demons and hung himself in his own home. Bennington’s death coincidentally (or not) occurred on his close friend, Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Chester’s wife, Talinda Bennington, recently spoke out in her most personal social media post yet. She shared a video that was taken just 36 hours before Chester committed suicide, and it certainly was insightful yet heartbreaking.
She says in her post,
“I’m showing this so that you know that depression doesn’t have a face or a mood. This is what depression looked like to us just 36 hrs before his death. He loved us SO much & we loved him.”
In the video, Chester is seen (or appears) to be extremely happy as he spends family time goofing around. The footage shocked many netizens as it reveals that there’s no ‘face’ to depression. Depression is definitely not the sulk-all-day type of vibe that everyone believed it to be.
