Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been all the craze lately, with many tech companies trying to replicate the success and ‘wow-factor’ of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
However, one mother-to-be in Hong Kong is far from impressed by how far AI has progressed but is instead annoyed at her husband’s over-reliance on it.
Well, she does have a point though, as get this, the husband actually uses ChatGPT to find a name for their soon-to-be-born child!
As reported by SCMP, the woman vented her frustrations on the online forum DiscussHK last month regarding her husband’s actions. She shared,
“Who is the daddy? My husband or AI? I asked my husband to help name our baby, but he asked AI.”
The wife further elaborated that her husband went on ChatGPT to ask, “Can you help me find a Chinese name for my soon-to-be-born baby? He is a boy. I hope he will be intelligent, handsome, tall and lucky,”.
ChatGPT then answered by suggesting some names, including “Zhiyu”, which means “wise universe”, “Meifeng” which means “beautiful mountains”, “Mingli” which means “understand things and “Yongyi” which means “brave and resolute”.
The husband then gave the list of names from ChatGPT to his wife, saying that they “sounded quite good” and asked her to choose from the suggestions.
However, the wife didn’t like any of the names and gets angry at her husband for being lazy. She asserted,
“It’s obvious he is too lazy to think! He doesn’t even care about naming his own child!”
Yikes! Hope the husband can get on his wife’s good side and find a good name for their soon-to-be-born baby. Well, given his track record, we’re pretty sure he’s gonna ask ChatGPT for some relationship advice too after this!
