After receiving the government’s RM500 Raya bonus, civil servants can expect more good news by the end of this year.

According to Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the government is expected to announce good news regarding the increment of civil servants in Malaysia. PMX said the structure of the civil servants’ salaries had been unchecked for quite some time, reported Kosmo.

“We are looking at this matter seriously after getting a lot of feedbacks, especially from the civil servants.”

PMX said Malaysians can expect to hear an update about the increment for civil servants by the tabling of Budget 2025.

He added that the government will find ways to make the increment happen while it fixes the power abuse by leaders.

“We made a decision about the increment although we are the government is doing its best in bringing down the country’s expenses.”

Earlier, Cuepacs urged the government to speed up the process of increasing civil servants’ salaries due to the struggle with high living costs. According to the Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA), the structure of civil servants’ wages was previously checked 12 years ago.

Do you think it’s high time for civil servants to see an increase in pay, especially when many Malaysians struggle to survive with living costs?
