Tiger parenting is a normal occurrence in Asian culture, where parents use sheer brutality and savageness to ensure their children excel in all fields in life.
But as a result of it, many of us may not have had a very leisurely upbringing, but we now have honed skills that we don’t exactly use in our adult lives, like playing the violin.
Facebook page, All Singapore Stuff recently shared a video contributed by one of their readers of a father ensuring that his child picks up swimming in the most tiger-parent way possible, by whacking the boy with a cane as he is trying to do the back stroke.
All Singapore Things wrote, “This one is a Tiger dad. Swimming also have to use a cane. Poor thing.”
The little child can be seen on his back while the father flicks and whacks him with the cane as he swims.
The poor boy probably had to endure not only the whacking from the cane but also the water splashing onto his face because of it.
It’s unclear why the father decided to give his son such rigorous training (maybe the father plans on seeing his son in the Olympics someday) and we’re starting to question if the caning was even necessary.
All Singapore Stuff’s posting has since garnered over 367 shares.
Perhaps he’ll be the next Joseph Schooling.
