Thousands of Indonesians working here in Malaysia, have converged at the World Trade Centre (WTC), in Kuala Lumpur to cast their early votes for the Indonesian Presidential election.
With lines seen out the main entrance, this electoral process is the first of its kind, with previous early voting taking place at the Indonesian embassy or Indonesian school in the area.
A total of 223,000 Indonesians are registered for early voting, but the Indonesian Embassy expects around 45,000 Indonesians will be voting today.

A total of three candidates are vying to become the country’s next leader by 14th February 2024, namely, former army general, Prabowo Subianto, former Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and former Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
They are the candidates set to replace outgoing President Joko Widodo, who has already served two terms as the Indonesian Premier.
If you do not fancy large crowds, we kindly advise those who are not voting, to make travel plans that do not involve WTCKL and its surrounding areas.
