Now that businesses are allowed to operate again, even roadside stalls are opening and many Malaysians are taking advantage of it.
Even though strict standard operating procedures (SOP) have been given by the government, these people don’t seem to care about social distancing as they are seen crowding around the roadside stalls while buying food and blocking the road with their cars.
A video posted on Facebook shows a police officer telling these people off through the loud speaker on the car and telling them to move their cars away.
“Greetings and good afternoon to everyone. To all the customers buying kuih and food for breaking fast, please be reminded that I don’t want anyone parking and double parking in this area,” he said.
“This is a main road. One person can get down while the other can go look for a parking spot. Think of other people’s problems as well. Don’t only think about your own convenience.”
He then yells at the driver of a yellow car to move and tells the others still buying food to distance themselves.
