The poor woman! Hopefully, the perpetrator will be caught by the authorities soon and face justice for his actions.
Recently, a viral video has been circulating across social media which depicts an awful snatch thief incident that is believed to have happened nearby Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. Originally shared on Twitter by a netizen under the handle of @izskyline, it has since garnered more than 1,300 retweets and has been reposted in several other Malaysian social media accounts.
The video in question shows a CCTV recording of a woman being dragged several metres across an asphalt driveway by a motorcyclist who was trying to steal her purse. How despicable!

It is believed that the motorcyclist, who was wearing a pink and black coloured shirt, snatched the woman’s purse near the driveway off-screen. However, not wanting to let her possession go, she held on to her purse tightly to the point that she was dragged across the small asphalt road. We can’t imagine the physical pain that must’ve caused her!

Not only did the motorcyclist mercilessly dragged her through the harsh asphalt driveway, but you can also see him trying to kick and step on the woman when his efforts to make her let go of the purse failed.

Seeing how brave and valiant the woman was, the motorcyclist gave up and ride away, leaving the injured woman slowly trying to stand up and seek assistance from people nearby.

At the end of the video, you can see that thankfully, she still had her purse with her but in her valiant effort to keep possession of it, she suffered injuries as a result of the motorcyclist’s pathetic and cowardly actions.

Hopefully, the woman has a speedy recovery and did not suffer any trauma, whether physically or mentally, from the incident. As for the perpetrator, let’s hope that he is tracked down by the police soon and face justice for his cowardly actions!
