A golden rule shared amongst drivers on Malaysian roads is to always steer clear of trailers on the road due to the fear that lorry drivers are unable to identify others because of their height and huge blind spots.

But despite the caution held by most drivers, sometimes the mistake falls on the lorry drivers themselves who tend to drive haphazardly at times.

Shared on Facebook is a video of one lorry driver failing to check his parameter before making a turn, pummeling into an unsuspecting passenger vehicle in the process.

The incident took place in Taman Nusa Bestari, Johor.

The video which was posted on the 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page was taken from the on board dashcam of another vehicle.

Stopping at a junction, it is clear that the lorry driver failed to identify the passenger vehicle situated on the left side of his vehicle.

Netizens commenting on the video screamed for blood and questioned as to why the lorry driver was so absent-minded in his approach.

With an abundance of videos displaying bad driving on Malaysian roads, this is surely another one of those videos that will be hard to swallow by netizens.

Is there something seriously wrong with our attitude on the road? Are our driver’s licenses in need of new reforms to be much more stricter in the future?
