This guy gets A+ for effort!
Instead of a regular WhatsApp text or romantic snail mail saying “Will you go to prom with me?”, this guy went above and beyond to ask a girl out to prom because he donned a massive Pikachu costume in public to do it! He even busted out some dance moves in that cute get-up and caught everything on video, NextShark reported.
The guy named Jett Hwang also had help from his friends as they stood behind him while holding up gold balloon letters that spell out “PROM”.

The main highlight of the “promposal”? When music started playing and the high school student wearing the life-sized Pikachu suit started dancing to all kinds of tunes to amuse the special lady – from Michael Jackson’s The Way You Make Me Feel, to that sexy movie soundtrack from Magic Mike (Pony – Ginuwine), before ending with a classic ’90s #throwback from Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way.
At one point she even joined him dancing for a bit. Aww!

During the final song, he finally unzips himself from the Pocket Monster character costume and grabs a bouquet of flowers from his friend to hand it over to the girl while everyone else cheers in the background.
Touched by everything, the two of them then embrace in a hug and it seems like his effort paid off because she appears to be pleased with the entire grand gesture and said “yes” to going to prom with him.
