It’s no secret that foreigners from certain countries tend to get a lot of flak from locals in Malaysia.
But does that mean that these foreigners are bad people?
The Penang Kini Facebook page recently showcased a video of a man, believed to be of Bangladeshi descent, handing out food and drinks from a motorcycle, to homeless people around Penang.
They wrote, “Alhamdulillah. Keep doing good deeds. May your burdens be eased.”
In the video, the man could be seen arriving on his motorcycle. People sitting by the roadside then swarmed the man, knowing that he is handing food.
The man then gave each person a pack of food and a boxed drink.
Netizens praised the man for contributing to Malaysian community
The video has gone viral and garnered plenty of comments from netizens.
“The best! Keep up the good work!”
“Thank you. May you always be blessed,” said another.
Another said, “Keep doing good deeds, it never hurts to do so. It will reap good rewards, you must wait and believe that a miracle will appear.”
“This custom should be exemplified and continued by Malaysians who are capable and donate some of what they earn back to the community.”
One user urged him to continue what he is doing. “Keep doing good deeds. Even though he is a foreigner from Bangladesh, he works here, he shares his sustenance with others. May Allah ease your burdens, give you good health for you to continue to do good.”
