Life is not always a walk in the park. For some, going through every day can be a struggle and the uncertainties of life tend to make them anxious, and they have no choice but to work a little harder than anyone else as a means to survive.
Just today (November 3), Kosmo Online shared an image that broke the hearts of many Malaysians. The image shows a Food Panda delivery rider who is on her way to deliver food around Jalan Pantai Murni, Kuala Lumpur. It’s the child who is safely wrapped around the arms of her mother that captivated netizens.
The caption of the image stated that the delivery rider herself is a single mother, who is 37 years old. Her child is only 6 and is a person with disabilities who suffers from permanent blindness.
A picture says a thousand things, and only God knows what the single mother has to soldier through every day with her child just to survive. It did not take long for the image to go viral on social media, with multiple Facebook pages resharing the image, which many Malaysians have found gut-wrenching yet amusing at the same time.
They have since taken the opportunity the wish the single mother and her child well.
“Earning for money the right way. She could’ve used the easy way and begged.”
“This reminds me of my kids at home. When I return home they immediately come to me. This child is always in the arms of her mother. May Allah bless them.”
“I can’t see this, it’s heartbreaking to see them both under the sun and the rain while the mother works. I hope things will be smooth for them.”
“So touching. A mother’s love who will sacrifice anything just for her child. It’s not easy to live as a single mother.”
Another netizen also praised the photographer’s skills for producing such an impactful image that touched the hearts of many.
According to a report by Two. E-Kisah, the single mother saw no other options other than to bring her child along to work as the little one is a hyperactive child who has trouble living with others, and the caretakers were also unable to look after her.
Folks in KL, have you ever encountered her when receiving your order? We can only imagine the struggles she has to go through on a daily basis, and hopefully, things get better for her.
