You can’t force a connection. If it’s meant to be, it will be. A Malaysian groom recently had to call off his wedding after his supposed bride-to-be bailed.
In a viral TikTok post by @demflacco, the announcement was made by the man’s mother, who tried her best to hold back her tears while announcing the cancellation of the wedding.
“For some reason, the bride has decided not to show up. I couldn’t inform everyone because I didn’t have the strengths to do so, and to answer all the possible questions. I will explain this further at my soonest.”
Regardless, money had been spent on the ceremony. The family decided to shift the event from a wedding reception to a doa selamat ceremony (prayer recital).
The groom, Adam also had something to tell the guests who were shocked by the heartbreaking news. Adam tried his best to put on a smile and said he had tried his best to protect the relationship but to no avail. However, life must go on.
“Let’s not stop ourselves from being happy despite the sad event. Please forgive us for the inconveniences, we couldn’t stop fate.”
The existence of a 3rd party?
As heartbreaking as the last-minute cancellation was, the reason for the cancellation was even more gut-wrenching.
In a live TikTok video on Tuesday night (October 1), Adam revealed that his ex-fiance called off the wedding because she had someone else.
According to the man, his ex called off the wedding somewhere in August this year, and she even returned the engagement ring.
“She met someone else at her workplace. That’s how much I can tell you.” Adam revealed.
Adam, however, chose to stay loyal. He decided to forgive the woman and wanted to proceed with the wedding, which eventually did not happen. Adam also didn’t want to waste the money spent on the wedding because it was too late to ask for a refund. You can watch the mother’s announcement and Adam’s reveal in the videos below.
