Homelessness is something that we often see in major cities like Kuala Lumpur. These poor souls living on the streets are not fortunate enough to be able to have food most of the time, let alone proper clothing.
However, UNIQLO Malaysia recently launched a clothing corner at the Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Center at Jalan Pahang, Titiwangsa Sentral. The center is one of the government’s initiatives to help the homeless get back on their feet.
Those who are seeking for jobs can easily access the proper attire with the help of the centre. A wide range of clothes that are available at the clothing corner, from casual to workwear, will be available and easy to access.
To make things better, all the clothes are donated by customers of the brand. UNIQLO also has an All-Product Recycling Initiative. They encourage customers to donate old pieces of clothing to be recycled into new products or given to charity.
This is a great way to create awareness for those who are in need and for sustainable fashion. Feel free to donate your clothes at your nearest UNIQLO. A recycling box will be available at all UNIQLO nationwide.
