Previously, WORLD OF BUZZ reported that a 17-year-old British student mysteriously disappeared after boarding a one-way flight to Malaysia.
David Balisong was last seen at Manchester Airport at 6:30 AM on June 6. Since then, he had turned off his phone and stopped responding to emails.

He sent an email to his mother
In a recent development, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan revealed that the teen had sent an email to his family on July 9, according to Harian Metro.
In the message, David urged his family not to worry or try to look for him, but did not indicate when he planned to return home.
“He also wished his family success in life and apologised for what he had done. So far, six individuals have had their statements recorded to assist in the investigation. These include his mother, a driver, bus counter staff, a currency exchange employee, and police officers,” Huessein added.

“Search efforts are still ongoing”
Hussein added that CCTV footage showed the last confirmed sighting of the teen was at the KL Sentral lobby in Kuala Lumpur at 10:09 AM on June 7.
“At present, there is no record of the teen having left the country, and search efforts are still ongoing,” he said.
On the day of his disappearance, David told his brother he was leaving early for school. He was in the middle of his A-level exams when he left home and flew alone to Kuala Lumpur without informing anyone.
The public with any information is urged to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Hazuin Jan Abdul Hamid from the KLIA District Police Headquarters at 017-736 9187.
