Sports analyst advises Lee Zii Jia to assess and determine the direction of his career

“He needs to undergo a comprehensive examination of the extent of his injuries. If he can recover, treatment must be done systematically, and he also needs a coach who can improve his playing style and physical fitness,”

“However, if his injuries are no longer in his favour, he must be honest in making a choice on whether to continue his career or to retire. Not only that, he still has other options after retirement, such as becoming a coach, commentator, sports product ambassador or whatever field suits his desires,” he said.

Third straight first-round exit

This comes after the former national player was forced to retire in the first round against Taiwan’s Lin Chun Yi in the China Masters Super 750, after suffering back-to-back first-round exits at the Hong Kong Open and the All England Open.
