112 seats are needed to form the Government and 148 seats are required for a 2/3 majority.
Malaysia has 222 parliamentary seats and a simple majority to win the election is 112 seats.
At the federal level, voters elect the 222-member Dewan Rakyat and these members are elected from single-member constituencies drawn based on population. The party that has the majority of the House of Representatives will form the federal government.
This GE14, citizens wait anxiously for the results in what is known as the most crucial election in Malaysian history so far.
