It’s definitely a dream come true if you get to meet your favorite celebrity. The women may dream of meeting Johnny Depp while the men wish to meet Angelina Jolie one day.
Ever since veteran Hong Kong actor, Stephen Chow got his hands on social media not too long ago, many fans all over the world tried to “communicate” with him by commenting on his posts. Local singer-songwriter & YouTuber, Jenn Chia is among the fans who expressed her wish to see him one day.
Jenn told Stephen that he is not only one of the main inspirations behind one the creation of her videos, but he has also been the “teacher” who taught her Cantonese as Jenn learnt to speak the dialect from watching his movies.
“Master Chow, when can I see you?” Jenn asked in the comment section.
Out of the abundance of comments, Jenn was among the lucky few to whom Stephen replied, and his response was enough to trigger the inner fangirl and fanboy in you.
“Anytime! Will you be coming to Hong Kong?” Stephen responded.
In Jenn’s Instagram post on March 27, she revealed that she flew to Hong Kong with her partner to meet the legendary Stephen Chow.
Although not knowing what to expect, Jenn was still excited and filled with adrenaline. They met at a restaurant where Stephen first gave Jenn his personalised signature before they continued with dinner.
You can see how Jenn was blushing when Stephen was signing on the Shaolin Soccer movie card.
Jenn also said that during dinner, Stephen took the time to introduce her to some lovely Teowchew dishes. To have dinner with your idol and favorite celebrity isn’t something that happens every day. At the end of her Instagram video, Jenn expressed her gratitude for the experience and cried.
Jenn’s IG post has been well received by many netizens, but we guess the best part is to have Stephen repost the story on his IG and said, “Happy to see you!”
