Nestled in the heart of Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya, is the hottest new Muslim-friendly pizza joint that has been pulling in customers nonstop with the sultry aromas of their food. Yes, you can smell it from the sidewalk, and yes, the food tastes as good as it smells.
1MORE PIZZA is more than just a pizza place as it also serves bites, pastas, and desserts alongside an amazing selection of drinks, all aimed at being unique in terms of texture and flavours. Considering they ferment their pizza dough for 72 hours and bake it in 90 seconds, we had high expectations!
Their industrial-styled ambience, filled with natural lighting, is so cosy that it simply invites you in.
We at WORLD OF BUZZ had the privilege of trying out some of their hot-selling and signature items. Here’s how that went!
Bites
To start, we had their signature Neapolitan Meatballs, which they make freshly in-house daily. Seated on a bed of tangy tomato sauce, the thoroughly juicy and flavourful meatballs will transport you to the streets of Italy and make you say ‘Mamma Mia‘!
Pizzas
The Symphony in Cheese may appear modest at first glance, but it’s bursting with rich, savoury goodness, thanks to its perfectly balanced cheese blend. For a surprising twist, don’t forget to drizzle—or dip—your pizza in the hot honey sauce served on the side for an unexpected twist!
With so many must-try flavours on the menu, we also opted for their signature Smoke on the Water and Toast to our Differences as a half-and-half pizza.
The Smoke on the Water, topped with house-cured salmon, dill, and rocket, is pure bliss from the very first bite. Its base—a masterful blend of whipped ricotta, gorgonzola, and Fior di Latte—elevates the flavour profile far beyond the typical cheese combinations you’d find at chain pizza joints.
As for Toast to Our Differences, this pizza perfectly embodies 1MORE PIZZA’s mission to stand out with bold, unconventional flavours. The succulent slices of Australian Ribeye Steak lend a touch of luxury to every bite, while the unexpected hint of roasted seaweed adds an intriguing twist—pulling you down a delicious rabbit hole of “why is this so good?!”
Needless to say, every pizza crust was also baked to perfection. The dough’s airy fluffiness, paired with just the right amount of char, could easily win over even the most devoted crust sceptics.
Pasta
With options of fresh, homemade Pappardelle, Rigatoni and Fettuccine, we got their Smoked Duck Carbonara with Pappardelle, made the right way (with eggs instead of cream)!
The silkiness of the eggy sauce paired amazingly with their homemade pasta, making it a must-try if you want to know what real carbonara tastes like!
Drinks
We tried 1MORE PIZZA’s Matcha Latte, which balanced out our meal perfectly. The creaminess and earthiness of the matcha are truly a delight!
Dessert
We ended our meal with the Tiramisu, and we’re so happy we did! The Tiramisu was pure decadence. Light, airy and not too sweet, every bite was something to savour. We had to stop ourselves from moaning after each bite.
Even if you’re not a fan of coffee, their Tiramisu is still a must-try, or you’ll face some serious FOMO (fear of missing out).
For us, the stars of the show have to be the half-and-half Smoke on the Water and Toast to our Differences pizza, as well as the Tiramisu!
We left 1MORE PIZZA absolutely ecstatic (and stuffed to the brim). We already can’t wait to come back for more.
