Two essential parts of our childhood have come together in the most adorable way, and we just had to share it with you! One’s a show that we always HAD to watch on Saturday mornings and another’s something our ah ma will put on us when we get any injury at all. ANY INJURY.
This Singaporean artist (@d.atlastudio) has posted a series of Pokemon-themed traditional medicine pins on their Instagram page! Look at how cute they are! You can even get your hands on these pins as they’re on Kickstarter, and walk around knowing you’re repping Asian pride like the gym badges you used to collect at Pokemon tournaments.

First up is Vaporeon Rub! When we get a cold or a blocked nose, this is the ointment that comes out of the cabinet. Ahhhh those minty, snot-filled memories.

Every single time you smell a baby, they smell like this Hoppi oil. That said, adults use this too, as it is really effective in making sure the angin comes out from your tummy!

This is the thing that you down while closing your eyes while hoping that a stray will not go down the wrong way, Po Chai! However, this is really good for diarrhoea that’s as explosive as Voltorb!

As for our typical tropical country problem where we get bitten by mosquitoes on the daily, ah ma will always have Mopika on hand to soothe your red, angry mosquito bites so that you’ll be able to go, pika pi!

Then we have the Famous Arcanine Balm that’s basically one of our very subtle Asian traits *ahem*. The Arcanine Balm is the holy grail of Asian medicine because according to my ah ma it can cure all illnesses.
