“The dad is the one that’s scared!”
Parents often love to purchase jewellery including earrings, chains and bracelets for their daughters. But for some parents, the process of seeing their young child getting their ears pierced is a nerve-racking one as they fear seeing their child in pain.
This was recently shown in the case of a couple who had brought their daughter to get her ears pierced at a gold shop.
A TikTok video, posted by @kiasyah6, featured the couple accompanying their daughter get their ears pierced but what stole the spotlight was the reaction of the dad!
The video featured the parents holding their daughter whilst the workers pierced their daughter’s ears.
The child looked relaxed, however the father was seen to be visibly worried and closed his eyes throughout the entire procedure.
Netizens amused at father’s reaction
The video has amassed over 959,000 views and 53,000 likes at the time of writing. Many netizens expressed their amusement over the father’s reaction.
One user said, “Why do I feel like the dad is the one who is scared.”
Another said, “The daughter is the one getting pierced but the dad is the one who has his eyes shut.”
“The child was like ‘am I supposed to cry now as my dad seems to be scared‘,” said another commenter.
