During our zaman sekolah, we’ve all brought our phone to school at least once. If you didn’t, you are either a liar or you just hadn’t owned a phone then.
And whenever we brought our phones to school, we would be paranoid that the cikgu-cikgu would catch us or that the pengawas will suddenly conduct a spot-check and then rampas our dear phones!
However, one video that went viral recently shows a teacher apparently taking his punishment too far as he forced his students to throw their handphones into a bucket of water!
In the video, the students can be seen standing solemnly in a line and the teacher can be heard calling each student’s names. When their names were called, each would shuffle their way towards the yellow bucket filled with water and painfully drop their phone into it. *ploop*
Each student complied hesitantly and grudgingly. Poor kids!
Worst of all, the video seemed to be recorded by the teacher himself! Sadistic much?! Although the origin of the video is unknown, it recently went viral and netizens from all over are infuriated about it.
Many angry netizens wrote comments targeted at the teacher for misguiding the students. However, there are also other users who think the students deserved the punishment for breaking the school rules in the first place.
“This teacher should be out of the school! This is too much. Confiscating (the phone) is just fine. Then call up the parents to talk and solve the matter. Teacher, please think before you do (things).”
“Not only that he made a ridiculous punishment, the teacher even took video of the whole thing! It just proves that he’s crazy.”
“Walao? I’ll throw that phone to the stupid teacher face first!”
Other netizens were pissed off at the wastage of those phones.
“This punishment is too much. At least the teacher can confiscate the phone for 1 week. After that return to them. These phones were bought using the parents’ hard earned money”
“I’m using Sony Z2 so i wont worry that much since it’s water proof.” one of the users commented.

What do you think? Do you think the students had it coming or did the teacher go too far?
