If you’re the type of Malaysian who prefers to order your food without sayur (vegetables), this vendor may not be for you.
There’s a vendor that sells Roti John, Kebabs, Pitas and Wraps, charging customers an additional RM1 should they choose to omit vegetables from their food. Netizen, Sen, took to their TikTok account to showcase the vendor that they found at a pasar malam (night market).

“Don’t want vegetables, extra RM1,” a sign at the Roti John vendor’s stall stated.
What Malaysians had to say about this
Many shared their humorous takes on why the vendor decided to charge extra to those who do not want vegetables.

“Nah, hear me out. This actually might be a method to encourage healthier eating habits.”

“That’s okay, it means they want us to live healthily.”

“This is KKM’s agenda to make sure we all eat our vegetables.”
But others used logic to come up with a reason.

“Y’all, when they do not include vegetables, they have to add more meat if not, the Kebab would be thin. That’s why they have to charge an extra RM1, as there’s more meat.”

“Maybe they’ll add meat when there’s no vegetables.”
