The LRT Sri Petaling Line experienced a major delay yesterday evening during peak hours (June 3) after a foreigner fell onto the train tracks.
The victim died after being run over by the train.

A video of the interrupted train service at the LRT Pusat Bandar Puchong also circulated online as people waited for authorities to remove the body from the train tracks. The victim, a 63-year-old Taiwanese man, was confirmed dead by the Fire & Rescue Department of Selangor (JBPM).

JBPM Assistant Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, said his department received the call at 6.05 PM, reported Harian Metro.
“Rescue equipment and teams from the Subang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were deployed to the scene and found the victim unconscious.”
2 hours later, the victim’s body was successfully removed from under the train. Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the elderly man was confirmed dead by the medical team at the scene and had been sent to the hospital for autopsy.
PDRM also classified the case as sudden death, according to an official statement by the police in Serdang.
At the same time, the police asked the public not to circulate any photos of the victim out of respect for the sensitivity of the victim’s family.
