Teachers often leave a lasting impression on many students, sometimes proving to be more impactful. They’re naturally influential and often seize chances to share these lessons whenever they can.
In a recent video shared by @njwasyhda_, she gives us a heartwarming glimpse into her daughter’s sports day at school, showing teachers enthusiastically supporting and assisting her and the other students.
She didn’t want to touch the wet ball
In the video, her daughter is seen participating in a race where students must roll a ball from one end to the other. What amused many netizens was the little girl’s hesitation to touch the ball.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Najwa shared that it was her daughter’s (Sophea) 1st sports day. She mentioned that a teacher had to assist her daughter in the race by wiping the ball, allowing her to finish the race.
“She’s still in the learning process”
Najwa went on to explain that it had rained earlier on the day of the sports event, so the field was still wet during the race. This explains why Sophea hesitated to touch the ball, though she still wanted to participate.
“My daughter’s teacher told me that during practice, my daughter had no issues touching the ball and completing the race. However, during the actual race, she was confused by the wet ball, but she still wanted to join in regardless.”
With the support of Sophea’s teacher, she proudly completed the race and had a lot of fun.
Let kids be kids!
Najwa emphasised that Sophea is only 3 years old and still learning, clarifying that her reluctance to touch the ball had nothing to do with sensory issues.
“I’ve received comments from netizens suggesting that my daughter has OCD or sensory issues, which she doesn’t, by the way. She’s just 3 years old and still learning. She doesn’t have any such problems at all.”
Najwa then clarified that the video was meant for fun, and she expressed her gratitude to Sophea’s teacher for their support and assistance during the race.
Amused netizens started flooding the comment section to share their thoughts and reactions!
“I admire the teacher’s effort.”
“The teacher is so nice for helping her.”
“The teacher is so understanding and supportive of her student. You’re the best, teacher.”
“I feel so proud seeing the teacher go out of her way just to wipe the ball for her student.”
