Innovation is the process of making tedious jobs and operations more convenient with the help of technology and engineering.
With that being said, it appears that certain parts of Malaysia are getting innovative upgrades to their infrastructure, such as Sarawak with their cool, new Hydrogen-based rail system.
And now, Subang is getting on the innovation train by testing out a new street cleaning device that will assist cleaners with keeping out roads trash-free. Subang Jaya ADUN, Michelle Ng Mei Sze, took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) profile to showcase the device in action.
She wrote, “Towards a cleaner Subang Jaya and Selangor, this will revolutionise the waste management industry.”
Based on the video, the machine acts as a suction device that slurps up litter, fallen leaves and more. Basically, an oversized wet vacuum cleaner.
Many were impressed with the Subang Jaya local council’s progress towards maintaining the cleanliness of our street while also sharing their opinions on potential improvements to the device.
“Good one. We need more mechanisations like this. Cleaning manually is really hard and not effective. It is pitiful to see our sanitisation workers.”
“This is more functional, as compared to collecting rubbish and putting it into a plastic bag, and then leaving it by the side of the road while waiting for the garbage truck to collect it.”
