Local clothing brand, Stoned & Co, lost around RM50,000 after a thief had broken into their outlet in SS15, Subang Jaya.
Based on a report by Sinar Harian, a store worker received a call from her management at 12:30am, informing them that there has been an incident at the outlet. Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abd Khalid Othman shared that the thief had taken clothing, monitors and cash amounting to RM50,000.
But, sadly, not everyone believes that there was an actual thief. Stoned & Co took to their Facebook profile to share how many are assuming that the robbery was faked.
They wrote, “First of all, we would like to thank those of you that gave us care and support regarding the burglary case that recently happened at Stoned & Co Subang Jaya. However, we are feeling depressed and disappointed on the comments that saying this is a ‘planned marketing gimmick’.”
“We assure you that this was not a staged robbery nor a marketing gimmick. It saddens us to see that there are people who would think we would plan such a thing just for marketing. I believe there’s no brand and business that would jeopardise their brand’s name with such demoralised thoughts.”
Well then, with that said, the burglary is real and they need your help identifying the thief!
The robber allegedly used a stolen number plate on his vehicle during the robbery.
“We also managed to get some information on the burglar from our updated CCTV footage. We are sharing this for the best interest of the public,”
“To those of you who knows or come across this car in the city, please reach out to us or the D4 police team from Subang Jaya immediately,” they added.
