After 13 years in the industry, Stoned & Co faces one of its toughest challenges yet – public backlash over a viral road rage incident involving a Ferrari driven by one of its leaders.
The managing director and founder of the clothing brand, Andrew Ngo, addressed the incident last night (12 January), stating that he fully understands the public outrage.

He added that it breaks his heart to see the efforts and hard work of over a decade now overshadowed by a person’s misconduct, and also revealed the fate of the individual in question.
“No longer part of the brand, he has been relieved of all managerial duties”
As the founder and managing director of the brand, Andrew emphasised that he doesn’t just understand the anger; he feels it too.
In his video statement, he explained the delay in releasing an official response, noting that the team only became aware of the issue circulating on Xiao Hong Shu on 8 January.

Afterwards, Andrew’s team arranged for the Ferrari driver to promptly contact the owner of the dashcam footage to issue an apology and offer compensation for the damages incurred.
They once again reached out to the other driver on 11 January after the footage was shared on Instagram.

When those attempts went unanswered, Andrew spent the next 48 hours conducting an internal restructuring. According to him, the decision is final:
“He has been relieved of all managerial duties and authority, effective immediately.”

Additionally, Andrew clarified that the Ferrari driver’s personal decisions have nothing to do with Stoned & Co., as he will no longer be involved in the company’s operations and management, including event planning.
Andrew also apologised to the public for the incident and thanked both partners and supporters who stood by the brand, vowing that he will protect it until the end.
“I’m seeing the boycott calls. I get the anger. I really do. You can aim it at the management, but please don’t talk about destroying this brand so lightly.”
“I am Andrew Ngo. This brand was built by our Stoned Mob, and I will definitely protect it until the very end.”
