For those who are not from Selangor or KL, seeing SS2, Petaling Jaya for the first time can be quite a culture shock. The neighbourhood is filled with houses around a commercial centre, many of which were converted into businesses that added to the vibrancy of the location.
However, it seems as though the pandemic has taken the area as its latest victim.
The ēęåŗ锶 Malaysia Business For Sale Facebook page took to their profile to showcase multiple businesses in SS2 closing up shop and putting their lots up for rent.
They wrote, “SS2, Petaling Jaya. Good businesses falling out. Usually, even if you wanted, there wouldn’t be any (properties available), now there are many options.”
It’s truly saddening to see how the businesses that contribute to the liveliness of SS2 are now closing their doors.
We genuinely hope that these businesses, and their many employees, can get back on their feet when the pandemic is over. Hopefully, one day, the businesses here will bloom and boom again.
