Believe it or not, studies have demonstrated that chickens possess intelligence. They can learn tricks and even be trained to recall specific actions! But we’re not referring to your everyday chickens here…
In a recent TikTok video shared by user @somersault, she recounts a delightful encounter she had with a “fluffy” friend on her way back home. In the video, a chicken can be spotted casually walking around in public, and it’s undeniably adorable!
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Wei recounted how she stumbled upon the chicken wandering near her place. Seeing a small crowd gathered around something caught her interest, urging her to check it out for herself.
“I’m quite amazed that there was this breed of chicken roaming around since I’ve never seen this type of chicken before, and its appearance was so unique, fluffy, and cute.”

What’s really grabbing people’s attention online is that this chicken isn’t your average bird. Its appearance is super fluffy, and even the tuft of feathers on its head resembles an afro, making it unlike any chicken we’ve ever seen.
According to reports by users in the comment section, it’s actually called a Silkie chicken. Silkie chickens have some of the most unique feathers. Unlike the smooth and stiff feathers of regular chickens, Silkies sport soft, fluffy, that is almost fur-like.
Wei noted that,
“However, I didn’t stay around to see where the chicken went afterwards, but it’s probably someone else’s pet that ran away because I have never seen a stray Silkie chicken around Singapore before.”
The video has since garnered over 125k views, with people in the comment section sharing their thoughts on the adorable chicken.
