Two men have been detained by the Singapore authorities after a viral video of them fighting using motorcycle helmets at the Woodlands Checkpoint.
The men were detained on Wednesday (3 May) while entering Singapore from Malaysia after the Singapore Police Force (SPF) received a report of the video. The fight is believed to have taken place on 28 April 2023.
As reported by CNA, SPF as well as the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in a joint statement on Friday (5 May) said that the two men, aged 32 and 47, got into the fight due to queue-cutting.
Preliminary investigations showed that after the queue-cutting along the viaduct leading to the departure motorcycle zone at Woodlands Checkpoint, both men allegedly pushed their motorcycles against each other before getting off their motorcycles and fighting with their fists and helmets.
