The stores will be closed starting today (11 July 2021) until further notice.

Announced by the management of SOGO Malaysia today at 9am, all SOGO stores in Malaysia will be closed until further notice in compliance with the authorities’ latest SOPs.

“Nevertheless, you may shop for your daily needs at our Supermarket @ SOGO KL, which will be opened from 10am to 8pm daily,” said SOGO Malaysia in a statement.

Another departmental store, Isetan, also amended their operation hours as of today. According to the management, only the Foodmarket at Isetan KLCC will be open from 10am to 8pm daily, and the Eat Paradise at Isetan 1Utama will operate from 11am to 8pm every day while other floors remain closed.

Meanwhile, the Japanese-themed market, the main market, an optical store, the Wellness pharmacy, and food court inside the Lot 10 Shopping Mall will remain open daily from 11am to 7pm. “Thank you for your kind understanding. Any inconvenience caused is much regretted,” the management of Isetan stated.

Previously on 9 July, Isetan and SOGO took to their Facebook pages to announce that the stores will resume operations. As of now, the Klang Valley is still under Phase One of the National Recovery Plan, with Enhanced MCO (EMCO) implemented in certain areas.

Malaysia recorded 9,105 new Covid-19 cases today, and almost 6k cases are from Klang Valley itself. Therefore, please stay home and go out only when necessary, and adhere to the government’s SOPs at all times.
