Intelligent children are a pleasure to come by. Learning and advancing in matters beyond the years of their age, it’s quite remarkable to see just how quick some of them are to learn new things. However, one question still remains: Is it always a good thing for kids to pick up intriguing processes quickly?
A recent TikTok clip by Malaysian mother Umiey Zamieyra to her page @_xumieyzamieyrx has been making waves online after her intelligent two-year-old daughter named Falisya did what some would consider to be impossible – ordering RM100 worth of goodies and snacks using her mother’s Grab application on her mobile phone.
In the video, Umiey can be seen holding her phone screen to the camera while displaying the final bill of a series of items purchased by Falisya, totalling to RM103.22. Panning over the show the plastic bag of food on her dining table, Umiey reveals just some of the things purchased by her daughter, including chocolates, cartons of milk, and chips.
At the end of the video, Umiey asked Falisya who allowed her to buy all the items, before telling her to apologise for spending her mummy’s money. In her silence, Falisya fulfils neither of her mother’s requests. When Umiey tells Falisya that she will inform her father of her actions, the toddler cutely says “Okay” before casually looking at her mother.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Umiey mentioned that Falisya is a fast learner, and often takes notice of how her mother uses her mobile phone when purchasing items. Prior to this, Umiey stated that she had allowed Falisya to lightly use the Grab application when purchasing food, as she had insisted on tapping the item she wanted.
“My best guess as to how she learned to use the application was probably through that. But I never thought she’d be as smart as this, to pick a series of items and buy them successfully. Not to mention, the things she chose really do show her high level of taste,” jokingly said Umiey to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Garnering a massive response online, many people expressed their shock over the situation as well, saying that Umiey must be breathing a sigh of relief, as Falisya could have purchased things that were more expensive, such as a television.
“Thank goodness the home address was correct too,” added another user.
Other users also asked Umiey how she was able to pay for her items, before the mother said that it was through a debit card she attached directly to the application, which is a normal and standard extension.
Handing out some advice, one user also told Umiey to lock her mobile applications in the future that have payment options.
Nevertheless, multiple people also expressed similar instances they faced in the past, including their own children purchasing online games.
