Stray dogs wouldn’t attack people unless provoked and a majority of the time, they’re just scared little beings.
So, why would anyone throw rocks at stray dogs that are just minding their own business?
Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia – Malaysia Animal Association took to their official Facebook page took to showcase CCTV footage of an individual in Selangor throwing rocks at a pack of dogs, hurting and scaring them away.
They wrote, “Why throw stones at the dogs that are resting? Are the dogs interfering with your life?”
This incident allegedly took place at PJS5/6A, Jalan Klang Lama, Petaling Jaya.
The NGO also urged the people to come forward with information that could bring the perpetrator to justice.
“CCTV owners and residents who know the owner of the car are urged to identify the perpetrator and then as a group, submit an official animal crime report to the Department of Veterinary Service as soon as possible,”
“Report domestic animal crime cases to awa.dvs.gov.my and wild animal crime cases to the hotline, 1-800-88-5151,” they added.
Netizens have also since condemned the individual’s cruel actions.
“It appears that he thinks that the earth is only for him to live on. Other creatures also have the right to live wherever too.”
