A 29-year-old Singaporean woman was arrested while at the highway intersection of the Second Link Expressway in Gelang Patah, Johor, for obstructing the duties of law enforcement officers and for hurling abusive words at the officers.
According to a press statement by the Iskandar Puteri District Police, the woman was stopped by traffic police officers on Saturday (27 September) at 8:30 PM, due to her vehicle having an illegal exhaust. The woman then spoke offensively and threw insults at the officers as she was dissatisfied with the summons over the illegal exhaust.

She was promptly arrested, and a urine and alcohol test showed that she was negative for any substances. The summons regarding her illegal exhaust was also issued.
She’s being held on multiple offences
Not only was the woman issued the summons, but she was arrested on 3 charges, which include obstructing the duties of law enforcement officers, using obscene words and also for not having valid documentation to be in Malaysia.
These charges fall under Section 186 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, respectively.
The Iskandar Puteri District Police also took the time to remind the public to comply with the law and to cooperate with police officers.
