This morning (April 1), it was reported that a massive fire erupted in Putra Heights.
Now, Subang MP, Wong Chen, has taken to his social media to share an official statement from the Smart Selangor Operation Centre (SSOC) of the Selangor State Disaster Management Unit, about the development of the gas pipeline fire incident.


They shared:
- SSOC received a report of a Petronas gas pipeline fire incident that passed through the area near the Petronas Putra Heights petrol station in Subang Jaya.
- According to the authorities at the location, the Petronas petrol station was NOT on fire.
- Only the main gas line was on fire, and it has been closed to wait for the remaining gas to run out completely to extinguish the fire.
- The nearby Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru area is also on fire, involving several houses. The estimated number of houses on fire has not yet been identified.
- There are also victims trapped in their homes. Rescue efforts are underway.
- The rescued victims have been taken to the Putra Heights Mosque Multipurpose Hall PPS. Several victims have suffered burns and are waiting for an ambulance to receive treatment. For now, the mosque is assisting the victims.
