RHB Banking Group (RHB) has issued a statement after an employee from one of its branches in Kedah had gone viral for sharing an AI-generated image of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, donning an Israeli flag saree, on her personal social media page.
The banking group took to its Facebook page to insist that the employee’s posting is a reflection of her own opinion and does not reflect their brand in any way, as well as the next steps over this incident.

Prior to this, the employee shared an image of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, wearing an Israeli flag saree. The employee later apologised to the general public as well as the Prime Minister.
“I acknowledge that this action has caused a misunderstanding, and I deeply regret it. I have deleted the post in question and will be more careful in the future to avoid any similar incidents.
