When buying a house, one of the questions that people tend to ask is if anyone had died in it. If it’s a yes, potential buyers may back out of the deal out of fear of having to live with supernatural housemates.
This has since pushed agents and sellers to find a solution to this problem.
The KL Selangor Lelong Properties Facebook page recently shared how they had apparently brought in a ‘paranormal research team’ to ease the minds of potential buyers and deduce that a property in Klang, where the previous owner had allegedly committed suicide, is not haunted.
They wrote, “This bank put in much effort to clear the matter. Certified by ‘ghostbusters’ already”.
According to Muhammad Ishaq, the previous owner of the house was apparently in the logistics business and committed the unthinkable during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following their investigations, the Malaysian paranormal activity research team brought in by KL Selangor Lelong Properties released a letter, which donned the Ghostbusters logo; stating that the property is, in fact, not haunted.
“Not withstanding several reports, we could not find any paranormal activity in this compound.”
“The suicide of the last owner of August 15, 2021, in this premises has apparently left no major signs of ghostly activities at the time of observation (May 30, 2023 9pm to 12am),” the letter read.
They even left explanations for the happenings in the house:
- The flickering lights observed might be due to faulty cables
- The doors opening and closing may be due to wind currents
- The eerie sounds might just be some wild animals
To further ease the minds of potential buyers, they added, “For further investigations, we might need to set up a small laboratory at the location and extend the observation period to 15 days.”
Sounds legit.
