Building things could help stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in kids, by focusing on hands-on learning and showing how these ideas fit into everyday life.
We’re calling all kids with a passion for building to join the LEGO-building workshop launched by LegoLift, a social enterprise under the Young Leadership Academy.
Step into the world of STEM!
LegoLift aims to help low-income college students while getting primary school kids to learn more about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The workshops are set up to inspire and engage students in a fun and hands-on way. They include not just LEGO-building but also robotics, so kids get to explore the STEM world while learning new skills.
They’re open to all primary school students
Students will dive into STEM concepts through LEGO projects, all guided by low-income undergrad students who are looking to make a difference in their communities.
These workshops are not just fun but also help support underprivileged students on their path to success. The LEGO-building sessions include 3 key modules such as introduction to biomechatronic, lower limb (leg) design, and humanoid robotics.
The workshops happen every Saturday on September 14th, 21st, and 28th, from 9 AM to 11:30 AM at the University of Malaya, and certificates will be provided to those who participate in all 3 modules!
So, if you want to channel your creativity into something awesome, make sure to register with them!
