If you’ve been having problems getting reception today (12th January), you’re definitely not alone!

According to DiGi, the network is experiencing connectivity disruptions in the Klang Valley due to a Tenaga Nasional power outage. A statement posted on their website earlier this morning (10.11am) reads,

“Dear Digi Customers, you might be experiencing network connectivity interruptions in the Klang Valley area. This is due to a Tenaga National power outage. We are working closely with Tenaga Nasional to resolve this matter as soon as possible.”

“We will periodically update this statement, in the mean time, please reset your network by turning your phone off, then on again.”

According to Lowyat, users have been experiencing this disruption from as early as 8am, and their cellular and mobile data connections were affected too. Sounds like a real inconvenience, especially at the beginning of a working day!

About an hour later (11.41am), DiGi updated their announcement, saying that the power outage has already been recovered. However, some users may still be experiencing the disruption.
