The recent controversy surrounding alleged “Allah design” socks and shoes has stirred up emotions among netizens. Now, more designs are being claimed to resemble the word “Allah”.
In a recent post that has sparked discussions online, a Perlis Mufti took it upon himself to address netizens who have been raising concerns about a hotel in Perlis due to its logo design.
Some claim it resembles the word “Allah”
Perlis Mufti Datuk Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin has spoken up about the issue, advising the public not to blow things out of proportion after some claimed that a hotel named “All In“ looks like the word “Allah” in Arabic script.
The caption of the post reads,
“In Perlis, there’s a hotel named “All In”. Hence, those who are dissatisfied because supposedly they see it resembling the word Allah. Moreover, the owner of the hotel is non-Muslim.”
The Mufti decided to share his thoughts on the issue after it was brought to his attention, given his role as the Mufti of Perlis state.
“The complainant decided that it looked like the word ‘Allah'”
Mohd Asri continued to share how the owner of the hotel in question is starting to worry since most of their products have the logo printed on them.
He mentioned that when asked about the logo, their response was that it is “All In”. However, when they were asked what was concerning them, they claimed that it appeared to resemble the word “Allah“.
“My response to the concerns is that ‘Allah’ was not written there to begin with. As a matter of fact, it’s the complainant who decided it looked like the word ‘Allah’. The letters clearly spell out the words ‘All In’ and not ‘Allah’,” he added.
The Mufti concluded the post by stating that appropriate actions will be taken if necessary. If not, he encourages the public not to jump to any conclusions.
Now that the Mufti has shared his thoughts on the issue, what are your thoughts on it?
