The 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games is surely one for Malaysians to remember, especially since our athletes have so far snatched 100 gold medals! We couldn’t be more proud!
Now, Malaysians are gearing up for what is sure to be an exciting showdown between Malaysia and Thailand at the SEA Games football men’s final tomorrow (29th August).
Photos of thousands of football fans lining up outside the Shah Alam Stadium went viral online this morning, some of them waiting since the early hours of the morning just to get their hands on tickets for tomorrow’s match.
Just look at how many people turned up!
Sadly, it seems that some people who spent all that time lining up for tickets are now reselling them online at much higher prices than the original selling price.
One ticket reportedly costs RM21.20 (inclusive of GST). However, a quick search on Carousell reveals that many people are selling the tickets for as much as RM150! What?!
This is totally unfair to those who missed out on a chance to get tickets; what’s more, it’s also illegal! Plus, selling these tickets at about 7 times its original price is just a display of pure greed.
We hope this catches the attention of the relevant authorities before tomorrow’s match and that they take stern action against these unscrupulous re-sellers.
