Keeping alert while driving is perhaps one of the most essential rules you should be following when you’re behind the wheel. After all, it’s usually cases of human error and lack of attention that causes many accidents to occur.

As reported by the New Straits Times, a lorry driver had to learn that the hard way when his lorry ran into a pedestrian bridge, causing a part of it to collapse onto his lorry!

While the lorry driver’s life was spared, he wound up trapped in his crushed lorry under the weight of crumbling concrete and had to be extracted by the emergency services. No causalities were reported in the incident, thankfully. It was apparently found that the lorry driver had been unloading tar at a nearby construction site before the accident occurred.

Well we hope that the lorry driver manages to heal from what injuries he sustained, and learns his lesson after this accident!
