From 1-on-1 and exchanging fists of fury, to 1-on-1 and exchanging handshakes. The viral store owner and the customer in a white singlet have finally made peace.

An image of them shaking hands circulated on social media last night and according to the convenience store owner, he was contacted by PDRM who asked him to go to the police station, where the customer was also there.

The police wanted to give them 1 last chance to make peace with each other and stop the fight. Both parties happily decided to reconcile and put an end to the “fight,” hence the viral image. Their black belts don’t matter anymore in this case.

Deep down, this is what the store owner has always wanted.

“I wanted this matter to cool down as soon as possible before anyone makes anything racial out of it, or relates it to alcohol.”

He also highlighted that the matter escalated due to personal problems and had nothing to do with alcohol.

Unexpected fame and support

In an interview with China Press, the man also said that soon after his release from the police station last week, he received many visitors at his store who came to show support.

“They came to show concern and tried to cheer me up. Some of my old friends also came to my store to check on me.”

If you’re aware, the viral video also showed a “mute” witness – the cat on the counter. Surprisingly, the store owner said the cats in his store also became famous overnight, and some customers came to take pictures with the adorable felines.

“A YouTuber also came and introduced my cats to his audience.”

In total, he has 6 cats “watching and guarding” his store.

Now that both parties have reconciled, a “rematch” is out of the picture, and also unnecessary. Not only it might cause more tension but another round of 1-on-1 brings NO benefits. We’re glad to see both parties went from enemies to friends.
