If you are going to the Batang Kali, Goh Tong Jaya, Kuala Kubu Bharu and Serendah areas then you should keep a look out as there were tiger sightings reported there.
According to BERNAMA, PDRM has confirmed that they have received 4 separate reports of tiger sightings with the most recent one being on the night of 2 September.
The Hulu Selangor deputy police chief DSP Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus has said that they have informed the Department of Wildlife Protection and National Parks (Perhilitan) so that they will be able to take action early on for the locals there to be safe.
“Perhilitan is conducting an investigation regarding the tiger roaming around by installing several cameras to identify the location of the animal.”
It is said that the locals there had seen and heard a tiger roaring near the chalet of a well-known influencer in Batang Kali.
Hence, the police hope that the public will be alert and careful when they are carrying out activities outside such as farming, hiking/ climbing hills, entering the forest, etc.
Other than that, the police also urge those with information on the tiger to contact the Hulu Selangor District Police Headquarters at 03-60641132.
Well, if you’re heading there then you should definitely take note of this!
