Video footage from a dashcam recently shared by a Reddit user shows an accident between a civilian car and a police escort vehicle on the highway.
PDRM was escorting a VIP
The video captures the escort car, suspected of speeding in the rain, crashing into the back of the civilian car. It even shows the aftermath, with the civilian car badly damaged and being towed away, as reported by Sinar Harian.
The Director of Bukit Aman’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, said they received word about the accident involving Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel escorting a VIP.
“We received a report about an accident involving 2 cars in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan,” he explained.
The accident occurred on the North-South Expressway
Mohd Yusri spoke to Sinar Harian and mentioned they received a report about an accident on November 16 at KM 259 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) heading south, involving the 2 vehicles.
It was reported that the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) is now looking into the case for further details.
PDRM is urging members of the public who have information related to the incident to assist with the investigation.
Hopefully, no one in the video was hurt. Stay tuned for more updates.
