Many places have closed down and this means that there are many people out there who are unemployed. With this economic climate, there are not a lot of jobs to go around. If you are one of those people affected then you might want to read on.

Pasar Besar Jalan Othman in Petaling Jaya now has almost 1,000 vacancies available and if chosen, you will be paid around RM2,000 per month. Employees will be given benefits such as Social Security Organisation (Socso) and Employees Provident Fund (EPF).

If you’re interested, you can go and attend the walk-in interviews that are starting today (1st June)!

The market association vice-president Raja Ratnam said that in the past, they were relying on foreign workers but now that most of them have been detained by Immigration, they are lacking the manpower.

Working in a pasar entails waking up early and being at work at 3am and ending work by noon. The daily wage is around RM70- RM80 and there is no age limit for this job! People with disabilities are also welcome to apply. One of the traders there said,

“We are willing to pay people well but we need committed workers.”

So if you’re jobless and really need the money, how about taking up this job?
